The countdown begins! Durga Pujo is just a month away! Yeaaa! It's such an exciting time of the year, especially for us Bengalis. Kolkata right now is preparing for Ma Durga's arrival, in full swing.
And this is the best time to visit KUMAR TULI in Kolkata (which is where the artist's prepare the idols) if you want a sneak peak. The energy is maddening! You can almost feel it in the air. Artisans working overtime to get everything ready, prospective buyers coming to book their idols...
Different themes, concepts and styles of idols are made every year. These photographs are from last year when I had gone to Kumar Tuli. I wonder what its going to be like this year. Definitely missing Kolkata, now that I'm in here in Bangalore. But hopefully, I'll be able to make it in time for Pujo which starts from the 1st of October.
